I'm sorry that there have been vet issues in the past (some ERs won't charge a second exam fee if you have to go twice in one day for the same issue - it's a reduced fee). However, that shouldn't stop you from getting veterinary care for your pup. Letting a vet assess the situation (after physical exam) is the only right way to proceed. Even if it's just fluids and an antiemetic needed, those are given there and not at home.
