That sounds so cute. Just in the last month or two Princess finally "hears" barking, knocking, etc. Sometimes if we're watching a movie & she's up there she'll really seem to be watching for quite a while. I always ruin it by saying awe or telling my dd, but sometimes she'll just pick right up where she left off.
