I buy the 12" ones for Callie (she is a bigger yorkie) and she chews on it until she is tired or tired of it and moves on and comes back to it later I never taken them away from her except when they get to small. One lasts her about a week depending on the weather, if it is rainy she stays inside more and chews more.
