I have both. A chihuahua giant boy. He is a long hair, buff color with human eyes! He is 2 and is fine with the yorkies. He is a big boy 13 lbs but they play and play. It frightens me a little because he is so much larger than Mari who is not quite 3 lbs and 9 mos old.
Chihuahua's are very territorial and possessive. I thought it was cute a couple weeks ago a couple were visiting and the gal picked up Mari and Boom! Right away Rico was there protecting her. He wasn't being mean or anything he just didn't know what to think of someone having 'his girl'. As soon as she put Mari down, Rico stayed next to Mari's side the rest of the evening. I wouldn't worry.
