Jack doing the same thing. I did take him to vet, she thinks its allergies. Put him on claratin 1/2 tablet daily. I haven't given him any yet. Don't like to give meds if not necessary. I am going to get the baby formula liquid clartin and give that. I read somewhere to take a wet rag and wipe the area. That does help. I also started bathing more often also.
At first I thought it was a nervous thing cause it was basically licking the front paws. I am still not sure it doesn't have something to do with that.
