My Chewy has that. The doctor said the best thing is for her to lose weight. My gurl is 6 yrs old, tho, and is 8 lbs overweight! I read that the surgery is not the best thing, because you have to keep them very confined afterwards for a month or so, and it is a place arthritis probably will attack. So, I am trying to lower her food intake, but it is ver hard! Her legs don't seem to bother her, she just runs funny sometimes. But we did make a ramp for the bed and couch, so she doesn't have to jump.
