Default Age for a new home

My puppies I may have for sale for pet don't go anywhere until at least 12 weeks but that also depends on their size at that age. If it is a particularly small one that is less than about 2 1/2 lbs at that age, I don't let it go until it is 2 1/2 lbs. Usually these ones will mature on the smaller side.
My dams wean their pups anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks of age. I of course, started feeding them at about 4 weeks and Mom still nurses them. Weaning and letting them go to a new home and strange environment can create a dirth of problems as the stress of teething, weaning, a new home can drop the immune system causing digestive problems, coccidia to take a hold, eating problems can occur resulting in hypoglycemia. Also my puppies being with their moms and after their first vaccination, other adult Yorkies I have, learn dog manners from the best source - their mom and other Yorkies.
