We have had Schatzie for a almost 2 months now and she has never been alone. We work from our homes and take Schatzie everywhere we go with us. Well, we wanted to go out to dinner last night and see how stressed she would get being alone. So we decided to set up our video recorder and record her while she was in her playpen (an acutal baby playpen). After arriving home 2 1/2 hrs later Schatzie met us at the door. Hmmm, she jumped out, never did this before! So we watched the video and to our dissapointment the battery died before we got to see her great escape. Luckily however the tape did show her not being stressed. She played well with a toy we left with her, drank, used her potty pads on the other end of the playpen and napped through most of the tape. Sure would have liked to see her escape. Luckily she did not get hurt landing on the tile floor!! And also glad to see no potty marks anywhere on the floor.
Has anybody ever video taped their babies before to see how they act alone? I guess now she will have to stay in her kennel but hate to see her in there for over an hour or so. But the playpen was nice while it lasted as she had room to roam. When we are home with her, she never tries to escape. She just hates being alone. I wish I knew how to ease her being alone other than having the tv on and such.
