I personally don't feel there is one particular "brand" out there that is perfect. Every dog is different and every dog does better on something some dogs would do poorly on.
I have always struggled with Taycie finding the best food possible for her. I have tried many top name holistic brands and while they worked ok for the most part other issues would always come into play.
I think the best advice I have read was find something that works and stick with it. As far as Halo goes, I have tried some of their canned foods in the past but never the dry.
I would email them. I would ask what vets they have on staff, who formulates the diets, what kind of Quality control procedures are in place. Where are they producing the food? Yes, I think ingredients are important, but I think there are also other important factors that come into play.
I don't think its a horrible food. If you go just by ingredients it looks really good. But for me being able to trust a company is the most important thing.
