I would like to say how impressed I am with Trupanion insurance. Although expensive as I have zero deductible(which can be varied as wished), they have been great since my little one at age 2.5 yrs had cataracts. They pay 90% of covered costs, do not argue over claims, and process within a week.
I have no financial or other interest in the company, but thought my experience might help those considering insurance.
I got it when I adopted him at 1yr old thinking I would need it as he is a BIG JUMPER, and Yorkies are well known for (expensive) knee problems!!! I never thought the (also very expensive!) eye problem would happen with such a young dog.
