Have you all seen the latest episode of Teen Mom on MTV (the show that's sweeping ratings and young ppl)? One of the teen moms, Farrah, gets a dog on the spur of the moment from a pet shop. I guess being a single teen mom with a 2 year old was not enough work.
She had the dog for a little while, couldn't get it potty trained, and gave it to a neighbor. Wonderful example for young ppl to see!
I have no skin kids (and will not), so my furbabies have been spoiled children. They were a committment I kept until the end, and even then I was right there trying to make their passing easier for them. I do not understand the lack of committment to these living things, but I do agree w the posters that said sometimes it really is for the better. These poor dogs that "drew the wrong straw" and got ppl who did not honor their committment to them deserve better than to be neglected. I guess they could take the "Casey Anthony Way Out of Parenting" and throw your child (furbaby) in a garbage bag into the woods (jk).
