I can't advise you on your decision, but re the poop eating - the vet can give you something called 'Forbid' to sprinkle on her food and that might help with that issue. We had/have the same problem and using the 'Forbid' seems to have made our girl less interested in her poop. Not completely disinterested yet, but much better. The other day she pooped when I was out of the room she's confined in and she left it on the piddle pad so I'd see it and praise her. Our baby is 5 and 1/2 months old and she chews everything. The vet said to limit the things she has available to chew because she gets confused on what's ok and what's not ok. That may or may not be working
