I spoke with my vet today and she said that Summer is doing well clinically but she still does have a very elevated white count so they have added another antibiotic.
We decided that since she is eating well and walking around that she can leave the clinic at night and return during the day for her treatments. The vet tech who cared for her this weekend is taking her home with her this evening. She also works at the EC here so Summer will be going to work tonight with her. Yet another vet to look at her!
I went to visit with her....when I got there, they surprised me with her walking to me! As soon as I walked in, they put her on the floor and she ran right over .. I sat on the floor and she laid on my lap. She is just totally precious!!!
She is still frail, but she walks all over now and is responding to her name! Took lots of pics! Here are some...the one of her neck is awful...but certainly improved from where it was. The white stuff is the silvadene cream.
