My boys are 6 years old now. I talked to my vet at their annual visit last year about dentals and she told me their teeth don't need them yet. They were 5 years old, she told me maybe 2 years from now. They only eat hard food and hard treats so I guess that has kept their teeth cleaner. Im glad about that but I'm thinking by next spring/summer they will both go in for a full dental. They will be almost 7 years old at that point and it will be their first dental. That was recommended by my vet, not lack of care on my part, trust me!
