My daughter has very bad allergies,so many years ago we got a wheaten terrier- always kept her out of the bedrooms, bathed frequently etc.. and we did quite well. We have had Ziva for two years and use all the same precautions but my daughter( now grown) finally admitted that Ziva really irritates her allergies much more than the other dog. Maybe because Ziva is constantly in her arms?
