I believe you would achieve much greater results much faster using positive reinforcement training. You and your dog would be much happier too. Right now, you are teaching him to fear you and physical harm. I think you also run the risk of making him aggressive employing these methods. | (sigh).......perhaps I worded that wrong...I did not man handle gizmo like a mother dog picks up her pups at the neck..one hand was cupping the back of his neck while the other hand hand his little bottom at which point I turned him over on his back placing my hand on his chest........I was so happy about the outcome of the excercise and here I go yet again having to defend myself...I give up here just gonna work with my dog and leave this posting progress alone because no matter what I do as I '''LEARN'' someone will be quick to shoot me down and make me feel worse than I have for days..I'm just done!
