This might be a dumb question, but you keep mentioning improving your line, so now I'm curious. Do you own rights to this line? It is my understanding that breeders who have established, well-known lines normall retain their breeding rights and rights to their line name. They have worked hard to maintain the integrity of their line's name and do not trust it easily to others. You might want to check with the breeder your dam came from and make sure you have "the right" to carry on his/her line's name before you breed.
