Personally, I think being able to pee pad train is one of the major benefits of having a small dog, you know that if you can't make it home in time, they won't suffer. Another advantage is if they've been trained on the pee pad, when they are old, and can't always make it outside, they don't mind going on the pee pad, it's also great when traveling. The down side is you probably won't be able to use throw rugs for about 4 years, but I believe the benefits out way the disadvantages. I love the washable pads.
