Callie has environmental allergies and one of the biggest things was her skin would brake out in bumps and she would scratch which twice turned to skin infections. She also has runny eyes, runny nose, as well as her ears recently started bothering her. I know that if I was itchy all the time I would wish it would stop. I take allergy medicine and when I dont its miserable sometimes its even miserable with them and I could not imagine how doggies feel with allergies that are not treated. I would try a medicine and see if it helps. I at first didnt want to medicate Callie because I felt like I was drugging her but when I did start giving her the medicine she seemed so much happier and it didnt make her tired or seem to have any side effects. Callie is on Hydroxyzine it works great for her.
