It's not a good idea to let your Yorkie outside alone. The little ones are easy targets for predators. My neighbor's 13 pound boy was attacked by a hawk recently. The only reason he survived is that he had a little extra weight protecting his torso.

Yorkies are also a favorite target of dog thieves.
