Sometimes if a flea bites them it will set off that kind of reaction....especially if it seems to be focused in one area. Even if you use a flea preventative, sometimes they still can be bitten by a flea. Flea allergy is awful. I have one pup who has a terrible allergy to flea bites and she has to have a cortisone injection if it starts up with her.
