I know this will get me in trouble to say this, but going to anyway. It does not always have to be about what the doggie wants. You needs should be equal, if not more important, than the doggies. You need a good nights sleep. The pack leader always picks the best sleeping place and lets some sleep close and others not so close. True it would be easier if both dogs were on the bed or off the bed. I think it is ok to let one sleep with you. 5 pound Gracie sleeps with me. The other dogs do not. Yorkie Puppies sleep in crates. 6 pound Rubin, sleeps where ever he wants, which is usually in his own bed. 70 + pound Lily, our Lab sleeps on the floor by the bed. We don't have any problems over this. My dogs are all fed in their crates at the same time. They still have their own place in the pack they have worked out for themselves. Good Luck
