In most states it's illegal to set a booby trap....And You would go to jail for it- ridiculous, but true.
I was told this by a cop last week when our office got broken into and I mentioned putting sheet metal across my door as a safety precaution, (with a battery hooked up to it to shock the hell out of anyone who happened to touch it). He told me he could take me to jail just for suggesting it!
