Herpes zoster is contagious.
Definitely stay away from pregnant women, babies and anyone who's immune system is deprived, or who has never had chicken pox.
it follows nerve paths, which is why you see it in streaks in some people.
Baking soda baths help as well as just not wearing anything on the area.
