This is a great set up. It looks very cozy.
For my dog's pen, I went to Lowes and bought a piece of flooring off a big roll. It was around $15 I think. I cut it in half and put 1/2 under the pen. I have the 2nd half in case I ever need it.
Just a thought on flooring.
