Yeah he'll be our first dog as a married couple and so we wanted to start with an older preloved dog. Most people get puppies and then realize how much work the house training and obedience training is and then end up selling or rehoming them :/ we just want a slow start, we have a busy life and we knew we couldn't handle all of the puppy work yet. So he is literally our perfect match!
He is coming September 10th to meet me at a park and she's going to teach me all his hand signals and other training he has. Eek! Thanks everyone...
and yes, someday there'll be a yorkie joining us, i still have lots to learn about them! i'd love a rescue someday! |
