Ok, maybe it's me, but that line is the most idiotic thing I've ever heard! The 2 boys held what appeared to be weapons on a 73 year old elderly person and kicked him in the head, punched him in the face... and this guy is concerned the 15 year old will be a felon for life over 7 cents???? HE IS A FELON!!! HOW anyone could just do that to ANYONE ELSE, nevermind an elderly man.... DESERVES to be a felon for life... come on now!
I seriously think that is what is wrong with society, noone wants to pay the price of their actions. No one is responsible for their actions anymore! Its so sad! I, for one, DO NOT feel bad for those boys. At 15 years old they both should know you don't beat up and rob an old man, no matter how much you got out of it, that part is inconsequential!
At least he'll be back out in a year to 4 years to either clean up his act, or wind up in prison a lot longer. Clearly he has issues already!
