I knew a couple that divorced. The man had a dog that he left with his ex-wife when he moved out. She took the dog and had it put down after he left. That was a horrible thing to do, but sometimes bitter people do bitter things. Hopefully your ex loves the dogs and won't do anything like that. I know that the part you are concerned with is proving that the dogs belong to you and not to him. It's hard to say which way the law will swing. It hasn't been very good to me when I needed it, so I hope you have better luck than I have had. I just don't have much faith in law enforcement or the legal system anymore. Good luck with whatever you decide. I'm sure people here will support you either way. I hope you have a fuzzy face again VERY SOON!!!
