Lol, there's no rule. If you are crazy like me, you will have 3-4 for one dog. Jackson's got 3 now. He used to have 4 but we somehow lost one.... anyways I buy the $10 ones from Walgreens/CVS and they hold up really well and he loves them.
But of course he sleeps in my bed all night.
