It is very possible that they came down because she is teething ! When they are loosing baby teeth and growing adult teeth the gums often are swollen, discomfort at the base of the ears and ear canal, all connected tissue inside, and all the calcium being used on the new teeth set.
Try a premium food blend or a calcium supplement with the taping, it may work.
