No, they didnt give him anything else. My vet tech friend who works at Tucker's normal vets office (long story as to y we didnt go there)...asked the same thing and told me that if we couldnt get him to lick the ice cubes that she would come get him in the morning to take him to his regular vets for sub q's and she also told me about the pepcid.
He so far has eaten 2 tablespoons size meals ( 1 tablespoon at each meal) of the hamburg and rice (he ate with great gusto! lol) and 2 full ice cubes. So I think he is on the mend. He is still hiding some, under the computer stand seems to be his favorite spot and will only come out for food and to use the bathroom. Im going to offer him another small meal before bedtime along with another 2 ice cubes and see how he is in the morning. If there isnt any more signs of improvements, then he will go back tomorrow to see is regular vet.
