We use the Fido Rido dog car seat, made right here in the USA. It's fairly tall, but since I've added a couple cushions under it, Graysee can get her paws up on the edge and get her head out the window (I added some foam padding around the edge, so she is not standing on hard plastic!). It is large enough for her to sprawl out, and it has a nice cushion and a faux sheepskin cover. Look it up online, at:

Graysee loves it!!! It comes with a harness, which will keep the pooch in place in case of emergency stops or fender-benders. It's been a great investment, for us! I recently took my Graysee on a round trip from the Houston, TX area to Tucson, AZ. We stopped for the night on both legs of the trip in Fort Stockton, TX. Graysee stayed content in her seat the whole way, BOTH ways!!
