I have three dogs so this is alittle costly. I called my vet to ask about Sentinel. Sentinel claims to prevent all different kinds of worms and fleas for one month.Ive seen that it is cheaper then giving the heartgaurd for worms and then the frontline for fleas since its combined into one.My vet advised me that the only difference is that the flea has to bite to die where with the frontline the flea supposibly will die on contact with the skin.He also said both most product out there work all the same. Here in florida you cant get the heartworm preventative without a veternarian perscription so that keeps most of these products only sold in a veternarians office. So i dont know if this helps any, but i was going to try the Sentinal and see how it works with the fleas as far as the heart worm disease its a very very common thing in florida and all products will work to prevent it. |
Just wanted to make sure you knew that the sentinal i was using didnt take care of fleas... you'll need a seperate flea med if you use it ,which is why i grew tired of it...
