Default Brandi won't stop barking

Brandi is not a barker....in fact the only time she barks is when the doorbell rings. I live in Delaware where the hurricane is supposed to pass through. Right now it's just raining but Brandi has been standing on the second floor landing barking. From the second floor landing she can see outside the window above the front door. I've opened the door to show her there was nothing there but she won't stop barking, She is definitely on guard duty but from what I don't know.

Could it be that she senses the hurricane coming? My cat is acting okay doing what she does best.....sleeping but Brandi is clearly spooked by something. At least she's not shaking or trembling out of fear. My area was not forced to evacuate as I am about an hour and half from the coast. However they have issued flood warnings for my area. Most people are just staying put for now. At any rate, it's not expected to hit until tommorrow morning.

It's been a wild week for us....first we felt the tremors from the earthquake in Virginia earlier this week and now this hurricane. The most we had to deal with was snowstorms and blizzards. Now that I can handle .
