Have you tried being the target of the can't catch me game? Or dropping to the floor? Sometimes that's the only way I can get Kaji to come to me. I do something that spoons him and he won't come. I drop to the floor and he immediately attacks my hair, or I drop to the floor with one of his favorite toys hidden in my hand. He always comes to try to find his toy.
