It's probablly her teething. Chew toys, frozen carrots, you can even get baby toys, the teething ones and put them in the freezer for the water to freeze, when it melts, just freeze it again.
As far as night time, do you have a night light? I know it might sound weird, but Princess needs one. She hates to be in a dark room.
