That is wonderful that you are studying before bringing home your pup. I would say no book could fully prepare you for a Yorkie. One book will do, and then spend a lot of time reading this forum to get an inside perspective. Ask questions here for real life experience.

I hate to be a downer, but the most important thing about becoming a Yorkie parent is being prepared for the possibility of expensive medical bills. Buying the pup is the "cheap" part. There are many healthy pups out there, but everyone must be prepared for the possibility of liver shunt surgery or a broken leg or pancreatitis. Be prepared for healthcare costs that may range from $500 - $3,000 or more.
