Yes, I'd say listen to your veterinary staff. It's good that she may not have gotten much of the mixture.
That said, for "me", the risk of not would be too high, but I'm NOT a vet. Big healthy dog - let it go. Small dog with GI issues, well, in all honestly there is some risk here. Yes, there are problems with inducing vomiting and only a vet can really assess the situation (which you have already had done). I've induced vomiting several times and have never had a problem.
