We were there to visit Disney World and our vacation got cut short! We were there with another family and we stayed in one room and watched the storm all night - until all the electric went off; phones down; and we finally went to sleep. The wind was blowing palm trees coming down - I will never forget it and neither will my son.
I hope you don't get that. |
That really stinks that you got hit while at Disney World. Coming out of it safe and sound is most important, but I would still be bummed if I took my little nephews there and that happened.
Our neighborhood lost a lot of trees and roof shingles during Hurricane Izzy in 2003, although I am pretty sure Izzy was only a tropical storm by the time it got to us.
The first year we had Max, we came close to having a tornado and I was ready to take cover under a bunch of comforters in our powder room. I'm still kicking myself for choosing a house that doesn't have a basement.
