Ok so we got Gizmo 3 weeks ago and right now we are doing crate training for now. So for awhile he was sleeping for 5-6 hrs at night and waking me up to let him out to potty. This last week has been every 1-2 hrs hell wake up. So the last few nights hed get up at 11 to potty which is normal then at like 11:20 hed be barking and yelping like he has to potty so i let him out and he doesnt have to go he just wants to play with leaves and sticks. So i put him back to be and hes up again at 12ish and does the same thing. Then he stayed asleep until 2 and went potty then slept until 4 then he did the same thing potty then like 20 mins later makes a rukus and we go out and he just wants to play. Then he wakes up again at 5:40 and doesnt have to potty and wont be quite. Our normal schedule is getting up at 6:30 am not 5:40 and he didnt want a drink and no food. I cant just let him yelp as it annoys me and i cant sleep putting him in another room is not an option. I feel kind of stuck at the moment and not sure how to go about changing it back to where we both are sleeping for longer before he gets up. I havent changed anything since weve gotten him, i do think that he is drinking too much water and thats why he gets up every two hours so maybe ill try taking water away an hr before bed and see what happens. But an x pen isnt an option right now and neither is puppy pads so if theres other thoughts on this other then those thatd be great. Oh and how do you get them to be quite and listen to you? I say Gizmo quite and he just keeps going ive heard tap on kennel and say quite that doesnt work, ive heard put your hand there so they know ur there and say quite that doesnt work,ive also heard gettting a can of coins and shaking it when they yelp and that didnt work i just want him to know when i say quite that he needs to be quite.
