What is the difference between this and the regular advantage? Is the regular advantage just not sold anymore?

We use Comfortis in the summer but I'd like to change to Advantage in the winter (cheaper, plus you don't have to put it in the body). We have to use some flea treatment bc there is never a flea-free time down here.
