Wasps are in the grass. They make their nests in the ground and can sting repeatedly, unlike bees, whose stingers comes out once it stings.

Bees and wasps also emit phermones to alert other bees and wasps when they are threatened, so if you find a nest, kill the entire thing and not just one wasp-they'll "call" others and it can be fatal.
