I will have to disagree with you on this since I have read far too many stories right here on YT that began with "we always kept an eye on ____" and end with please pray while their dog is in surgery for internal bleeding or a blockage.
Also, pork whether or not you want to believe me on this point is know to cause Pancreatitis in dogs. There are also plenty of stories regarding this as well.
Do a simple search or look in the Sick and Injured forum for proof of both of the above.
