I have fed Iams to previous puppies and dogs and they did great. I currently have my pups on Wellness Just for Puppies Small Breed. I switched them from the Pedigree the breeder had them on to Wellness in about a week. Which was fast, but they picked the Wellness out of the bowl and left the other stuff. They had no issues with upset tummy or with soft stools. The pieces are really small and easy for little Abby to eat.
I have read a lot of opinions about a variety of dog foods. I think if your puppy is thriving and processing the food you should probably stick with it.
As for the poop, mine seemed to poop every time I turned around for the first 4-6 weeks - might have just felt that way with two. I leave food down for the all day in case I have to work late, but have noticed that they eat when we play in the morning and when I get home from work. They seem to poop about 3 times a day each. |
