She probably just didn't have long enough time outside to get things going before she got brought in and got on the couch. She could have been a little stressed from you being late home and dogs are sooo schedule aware and could not relax enough soon enough to go outside. Being excited now that you are finally home and she was back inside with you, it just had to come out. I find that Tibbe is a little put-off when his regular schedule is changed and since you weren't home when she expected you, it could have concerned her a bit.
