She does need to be check for a UTI, that is the best place to start. Your vet will need to get a urine sample. He/she may want to send it off and do a culture to see what type of bacteria might be in the bladder so they will be sure to use the right type of antibiotics. They can also have some incontinence problems after being spayed. I have recently gone through this with Molly and she had a bladder stone, so that can be a cause also. Regardless it is best to rule out any medical cause first. There is a medication called Proin that will help with the incontinence if that is what it is.
