I've been using a narrow, nylon step in harness for Wendell since we adopted him last March. I leave it on him all of the time, to make it easier for our dog walker who comes in daily to take him out. His previous owners had kept his coat fairly short. His coat is growing out beautifully, but the only places he gets tangles are across his chest and between his front legs.

Has anyone found a harness that will help minimize these tangles? Or should I get him a collar so that he always has on his ID tag, and just put the harness on him when he goes for walks?
