My dog has loved any dog that visited -- but hasn't seen any outside yet.
He did, however, meet the horses in the back pasture. He was out there near them for quite a while before he even noticed them. They weren't moving much, and they are so big - I'm not sure he realized that they were alive.
Then he did see them - barked a couple of times and backed up toward me. He was a only a little frightened of them.
On the other hand, my other dog met them when she was about 4 months old and 12 pounds. And she took out after them and had them running all over the pasture. She thought this was great fun. Scared me - of course.
It amazes me that they ran from her.
Dogs are different!
