I have a DIY house!!! LOL Last year we rebuilt the 2 bathrooms from scratch. We gutted the old ones that were back to back and moved the wall between them to make the master bath bigger and the main bath smaller. We definitely made some mistakes along the way. I wish we insulated between the 2 bathrooms, and our drywaller didn't ask us about the shower enclosure, he just drywalled. So when we realized we couldn't put the 'new construction' enclosure we had and had to put an after construction enclosure. Its so not as good and solid! Bummer!
This year, we built a stair case from our driveway area down to the pool area. So convenient. Then we had a side porch that would have made an awesome screen porch... we cleaned it out and screened it in. We put up new ceiling fans throughout the house and we are now redoing the living room walls and curtains. I am planning to put a pergo floor in there this fall and BF wants to replace the windows in there this fall also.
We are always always doing something! In March I took a week I had off and redid my bedroom. I had OLD furniture and I repainted it all shiny black and changed all the hardware to crystal knobs and brushed nickle pulls. I painted the room, did curtains, new bedding! For minimal money (maybe $300) the room looks like it got a nice face lift!
