Nature's variety instinct canned cat food for dogs So I was thinking of buying my Shih tzu oreo some nature's variety canned food and feeding him about 25% canned and 75% kibble. Considering his weight it comes down to a very small amout of canned a day. I was looking for the 5.5 oz can but couldn't find it anywhere. I called a local pet store and the woman working there told me I van feed my dog the canned cat food? I looked up the p and it was the same. I emailed nature's variety. I added their response. I thought others would like to know this if it wasn't already known. I checked the forums and didn't see any info on this.
My email:
I was told at a petstore I can feed instinct canned Cat food to my dog as it is the same formula. Is this true? I read the ingredients and it is the same. Also, can I freeze canned food for later use. Even the smallest can can last me over 3 days. I only fed 25% canned to my dog.
Response:
Thank you for e-mailing!* The Instinct Canned dog and cat food formulas are exactly the same. We formulated the Instinct Canned food for a cat's diet, so it would be sufficient for a dog as well. You can buy the*smaller cans of*cat food to feed your*dog if you would like.***All of our cans are fully cooked and they will stay fresh in the freezer for 2-3 weeks after opened.* Thanks for supporting our products! |
